The Wisdoms Project

I’ve got three of them.  I’ve always felt that wherever I was living at the time was my hometown….after all, that’s where my home was.  (Webster agrees with me, by the way.  Don’t you just hate smart asses?!)
Lucky me to have lived for over twenty years in each of three very interesting , diverse places….Toronto, San Antonio and the San Francisco Bay Area.  Each and in total offer a plethora (love that word) of different cultures, landscapes, restaurants, history, politics, languages, weather and activities.  That sure makes it easy to “live in interesting times.”

Ontario A Place To Stand
Lyrics by Richard Morris.  Music by Dolores Claman.
Sung by The Jerry Toth Chorus.
(From the film “Ontario....A Place To Stand.”)

Give us a place to stand and a place to grow
                    and call this land Ontario.
A place to live for you and me.
Where hopes are high as the tallest tree.

Texas Giant Land I Love
Lyrics by Paul Francis Webster.  Music by Dimitri Tiomkin.
Sung by The Art Mooney Chorus.
                (From the film “Giant.”)

Austin and Houston and Alamo….El Paso, Crystal City, Waco….
Dallas, Ft. Worth, San Antonio and Galveston and Amarillo.
This then is Texas. Lone Star State of Texas.
This is the giant land I love.

Just like a sleepin' giant sprawlin' in the sun.
In one great hand the Rio Grande, in the other, Galveston.
This then is Texas. Lone Star State of Texas.
This is the giant land I love.

 San Francisco
Lyrics by Gus Kahn.  Music by Bronislaw Kaper and Walter Jurmann.
            Sung by Judy Garland.
                (From the film “San Francisco.”)

San Francisco….open your  Golden Gate.
You let nobody wait outside your  door.

Other places only make me love you best.
Tell me you're the one in all the Golden West.
San Francisco….I’m comin' home again.
Never to roam again. Never to roam again.

                         San Francisco….here I come.

I firmly believe from what I have seen that Sonoma County, California is the chosen spot of all the Earth as far as nature is concerned.
