So what! It’s not fatal! Learn from it! Try again! Move on! Success will come!
(Some of it’s already here!)
The two hardest things to handle in life are failure and success.
Sometimes you will lose, regardless of how prepared you are to win.
Most ball games are lost, not won.
The Athenians, alarmed at the internal decay of their Republic, asked Demosthenes what to do.
His reply: “Do not do what you are doing now.”
Failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently.
I don’t know the key to success,
but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.
Failure is an event….never a person.
Failure doesn’t mean you are a failure...it does mean you haven’t succeeded yet.
Failure doesn’t mean you have accomplished nothing....it does mean you have learned something.
Failure doesn’t mean you have been a fool....it does mean you had a lot of faith.
Failure doesn’t mean you’ve been disgraced....it does mean you were willing to try.
Failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it....it does mean you have to do something in a different way.
Failure doesn’t mean you are inferior....it does mean you are not perfect.
Failure doesn’t mean you’ve wasted your life....it does mean you have a reason to start afresh.
Failure doesn’t mean you should give up....it does mean you must try harder.
Failure doesn’t mean you’ll never make it....it does mean it will take a little longer.
It's idiotic to assume that because a relationship ends, it's failed.
The greatest calamity is not to have failed, but to have failed to try.
There are two kinds of failures:
Those who thought and never did, and those who did and never thought.
Laurence J. Peter
The only people who never fail are those who never try.
A life spent making a lot of mistakes is not only more honorable
….but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.
George Bernard Shaw
If you’re not failing every now and again
….it’s a sign that you’re not doing anything very innovative.
The person who makes no mistakes, usually does not make anything.
Failure is success deferred.
Trouble is a part of your life, and if you don't share it,
you don't give the person who loves you a chance to love you enough.
This thing we call “failure” isn’t the falling down, but the staying down.
Failing doesn’t make you a failure.
Giving up, accepting your failure,
refusing to try again….that makes you a failure.
My great concern is not whether you have failed,
but whether you are content with your failure.
The test of success is not what you do when you’re on top.
Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom.
George S. Patton
Making your mark on the world is hard. If it were easy, everybody would do it. But it’s not easy. It takes patience. It takes commitment….and it comes with plenty of failure along the way. The real test is not whether you avoid this failure, because you won’t. It’s whether you let it harden or shame you into inaction….or whether you learn from it….whether you choose to persevere.
If you hit a bad shot, just tell yourself that it’s great to be alive, relaxing and walking around a beautiful golf course.
Also tell yourself that the next shot will be better.
Failure is the condiment that gives success its flavor.
The success that will come your way in life will be great fun. It is the failures that will create the problems. Successful people are successful partly because they learned how to handle their failures.
A failure is a person who has blundered, but is not able to learn from the experience.
It’s not the load that breaks you down.
It’s the way you carry it.
Learn all you can about why you failed and then get away from the corpse as quickly as possible and start something new. Don’t be hampered and depressed by looking back.
